A simple, well made, light weight, and durable duffel bag. I have a wallet and a backpack from flowfold as well and they’ve held up amazingly for years of rough use, I expect the same will be true for this bag. As long as you leave a little room inside so it can squish a bit flat, it fits most airlines’ requirements for a carry on bag I think. Technically 9 in is the limit in the shorter measurement and this bag is 12 in but of course it squishes to be well within the limit and fits overhead easily, just don’t over pack it too tight. If you did have to check it you could just put the shoulder strap inside and it would probably be fine. Definitely rain proof, anyway!

I bought my first Flowfold Conductor in early January 2018. It is the Heather Grey model, still with the "old" logo (which was beautiful, by the way - I'm surprised it has changed). The original Conductor 40 has served me seven years now and visited literally every Continent apart from Antarctica. It is still doing great. I love the build quality, the outstanding durability and lightweightness of this duffle. It is surprisingly packable and the shape and dimensions are perfect for all kinds of travel. I had to check it in a couple of times (which I avoid by all means) and - to my surprise - it survived every single time (I just detatch the main sling and hide it inside the bag, otherwise it would be lost, damaged or stolen).
I like the bag so much that I bought another one in December 2024 - it has arrived today. It is the same model (40L in Heather Grey). The logo is different. The color is different (although it is name/coded the same way) - it is much darker then the original version; it might be beneficial in the long run). The fabric seems to be different, with a "heavier" look and feel, although it is - of course - super lightweight. I think that the stitching and reinforcement is different too - I will compare the durabilities duting the upcoming trips. I'd say that the original version was nicer-looking, but the new one will hopefully be equally good or maybe even better. Anyway, since the "old" still looks very fresh after 7 years, I expect (and hope) that the new version will serve me well for many years.
